Description

Bormed™RF825MO is a polypropylene random copolymer intended for evaluation for use in Healthcare applications. This high melt flow grade is modified with a nucleating agent resulting in a fast crystallisation, which gives possibilities for a fast cycle-time. Products produced from Bormed RF825MO are characterised with a very high transparency, high gloss and a good stiffness-impact balance. Material can be sterilised with ethylene oxide and steam. Borealis prohibits the use of any grade product in an implantable device that is introduced into the human body by surgical intervention and that is intended to remain in place following the surgical procedure, e.g. stents, pacemakers. A filled-in Risk Assessment Form and its corresponding approval by Borealis is needed for material sampling and for every Healthcare application.
