Improving circulation in the body and in nature. Yuzu, Citrus junos, is one of Japan's most famous citrus fruits, introduced from China in the Heian period (794 - 1185). It is the most cold-tolerant of the mandarin plants, blooming white flowers in early summer and bearing fruit in winter. The fruit, with its characteristic sourness, tang and fragrant aroma, is used in a variety of Japanese dishes and sweets as well as in aromatic oils, bath salts, and cosmetics.
