Description

Sodium methanethiolate is marketed as aqueous solutions which are colourless liquids with a stinging odour. They are used as a chemical intermediate under strictly controlled conditions. Sodium methylmercaptyde can replace methylmercaptan in most applications and is used as thiomethylation agent in the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industry.
