LACTASE 17MDP

Lactose is the primary sugar found in milk. Digestion of lactose requires the enzyme lactase, produced in the small intestine, which breaks lactose into simpler sugars. Lactose intolerance is the inability to properly digest lactose. Symptoms of Lactose intolerance include abdominal bloating, gaseousness, flatulence, cramping, and diarrhoea following consumption of dairy products. LACTASE 17MDP is a lactase enzyme produced by Aspergillus sp. (excipient: maltodextrin). LACTASE 17MDP is used in dietary supplements primarily as a digestive aid to help the body break down lactose for better absorption. Typically, between 50 and 100mg of Lactase 17MDP per tablet or capsule. Features/Benefits • Effective in the management of Lactose Intolerance • Activity : 65,000 U/g lactase • Standardised activity for convenient formulation • Suitable for tableting or capsulation
