DENKA POWER CSA TYPE-S (CN)

DENKA POWER CSA TYPE-S is an expansive additive, made by the Japanese company DENKA. It works compensating the hydraulic shrinkage of cementitious systems, and it prevents cracks formation. The expansion strength of DENKA POWER CSA TYPE-S is obtained by the combined action of calcium sulphoaluminate, through the formation of ettringite microcrystals (3CaO · Al2O3 · 3CaSO4 · 32H2O), and of calcium oxide, that turns to calcium hydroxide in contact with the mixing water. The effect by using DENKA POWER CSA TYPE-S is to densify the matrix, to reduce the shrinkage, and to induce chemical stress to the product by restrained expansion. This helps minimize cracking caused by drying shrinkage and increases water tightness, making DENKA POWER CSA Type S ideal for use in formulations that require these properties such as shrinkage compensating drymix mortars, shrinkage compensating concrete, and pre-cast concrete members.
